Hi,
I use db2html to publish a DocBook document. A problem I have is that the
bibliography is rendered on the front page. The page is attached to this
email (the bibliography is titled references). Is there a way to make the
bibliography appear at the end of the document?
Thanks,
Alex

I'm not sure I understand. I don't see a bibliography in this document.
Do you mean the bibligraphic data (author, department, supervisor and
such), or am I confused?

I am honoured to receive your email. I will attempt to explain myself more
clearly. The page attached to the previous email was the front page
generated by jade (db2html). The section titled "references" is a
bibliography. The source sgml is included here:

<bibliography>
<title>References</title>
<biblioentry id="WEB1">
<abbrev>WEB1</abbrev>
<title><ulink
url=" http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat/jakarta-tomcat/src/doc/uguide/tomcat_u
g.html"></ulink> Tomcat - A Minimalistic User's Guide</title>
</biblioentry>
</bibliography>

The bibliography is placed at the end of the sgml source document (I don't
think that this makes much difference anyway). BTW db2pdf places the
bibliography at the end of the document as I wish.

Judging by the table of contents in your HTML document:

  Table of Contents
  Revised Aims and Objectives
  Progress to date
  Achieved objectives
  Work in Progress
  Revised Gantt Chart
  References

it looks like References occurs at the end of the HTML. I'm still
confused. What's incorrect about the HTML placement?

Norm,
I think he means:

  References

[WEB1]  http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat/jakarta-tomcat/src/doc/uguide/tomcat_ug
html Tomcat - A Minimalistic User's Guide.

Another sample can be found on:
http://home.kabelfoon.nl/~hvdkooij/Netscape_and_OpenLDAP_v2/netscape-and-openldap-v2.html

Which may show it more clearly. (This was generated using a docbook 3.1
source.)

Fixed. Here's a patch for the impatient :-)

BTW, Hugo, you've got some typos in that bibliography,

Got them fixed. But I need to inspect what I did to hose my setup as HTML
file generation now dies using sgmltools-lite. (It worked a few weeks ago
but I may have made some other changes I forgot about. in order to get
more LDP like output for PS/PDF files.)

Hugo.

ps: I prefer to get just one message and not two.

Fixed. Here's a patch for the impatient :-)

BTW, Hugo, you've got some typos in that bibliography,
<title>...<title> where you meant <title>...</title>.

Hi,
I use db2html to publish a DocBook document. A problem I have is that the
bibliography is rendered on the front page. The page is attached to this
email (the bibliography is titled references). Is there a way to make the
bibliography appear at the end of the document?
Thanks,
Alex
