September 20, 2010 -- CAMBRIDGE, UK -- Code Confidence Ltd, the embedded
software tooling specialists, today announced a new release of their
Code Confidence(tm) Tools product for use with the Eclipse(tm) Helios
Platform. The latest tools take full advantage of new features within
the Helios C/C++ Development Tooling (CDT 7.0) to create an enhanced
debugging experience for embedded software developers working with the
eCos(R) real-time operating system.

Delivered as a set of Eclipse plugins for rapid on-line installation,
the Code Confidence Tools provide the most productive environment for
eCos application development. Product features include project creation
wizards, an advanced configuration editor, C/C++ editor integration,
performance-optimized GNU toolchains and kernel-aware debug views which
simplify and accelerate eCos application debugging. The tools
incorporate ThreadSpy(tm) technology for the thread-aware debugging of
eCos applications using JTAG, BDM and other on-chip debug hardware. All
debugging features are now integrated with the Eclipse Debugger Services
Framework (DSF) which is optimized for use with embedded systems.

"Innovations within our latest tools release are focused on debugging
performance." explained John Dallaway, Director at Code Confidence. "DSF
allows us to make better use of available bandwidth when retrieving
target state from remote hardware. The result is a more responsive user
interface, particularly when single-stepping through code."
