IMO (for now) it's better to use a standard eCos catch there:

   ...

  #else /* ifndef NA_MSG */

  externC void
  cyg_start( void )
  {
      CYG_TEST_INIT();
      CYG_TEST_NA(NA_MSG);
  }
  #endif

instead of fixing NTHREADS value.
