Use the web interface provided at: http://bugs.ecos.sourceware.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1001424 Summary: Compilation problem when using native/embedded gcc on linux (Ubuntu) Product: eCos Version: CVS Platform: Custom (Customer specific) OS/Version: MIPS Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: low Component: HAL AssignedTo: unassigned@bugs.ecos.sourceware.org ReportedBy: macpaul@gmail.com CC: ecos-bugs@ecos.sourceware.org Class: Advice Request Created an attachment (id=1472) --> (http://bugs.ecos.sourceware.org/attachment.cgi?id=1472) The patch of mips32 compilation problem with native cross-toolcahin File: packages/hal/mips/arch/current/src/redboot_linux_exec.c Description: When compiling packages/hal/mips/arch/current/src/redboot_linux_exec.c will lead error when using cross-gcc on pure Linux environment. While if the compiler produced by chip vendor, like Atheros, or produced by OpenWrt prject will encounter this problem. (gcc-4.4) This is because function entry pointer "linux' is a predefined macro in native gcc toolchain (as well as x86's toolchain). The fix method is to replace this variable from "linux" to other name like "linux_os".
