          Issue ID: 1001987
Summary: ia32-libs do not exist on 64 Bit Ubuntu hosts, from
                    v.13.10 and above.
           Product: eCos
           Version: unknown
            Target: All
  Architecture/Host HostOS: Linux
                OS:
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: low
         Component: Other
          Assignee: unassigned@bugs.ecos.sourceware.org
          Reporter: rg@irfu.se
                CC: ecos-bugs@ecos.sourceware.org

According to installation instructions you should install ia32-libs on a Ubuntu
64bit host system.

Ubuntu x86_64: apt-get install ia32-libs

However from ubuntu 13.10 this library do not exist anymore.

Also the configure script complains on the following:

checking host system type... Invalid configuration `x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu':
machine `x86_64-unknown' not recognized

Results is a unusable Makefile.
