can you tell whats wrong ?
also while reading the getting started document for HItachi
there is
# mkdir /usr/cygnus
# cd /usr/cygnus
# gunzip -c < /mnt/cdrom/tool-bin.tgz | tar xvf
now i dint buy the cd rom and also i dint get from where to download the tool-bin.tgz
can anyone help

The binaries are only provided with the commercial product. You can
download the tools sources and build binaries yourself though. See
http://sources.redhat.com/ecos/tools/linux-sh-elf.html
