I have a IXDP425 eval board, and I think there is no
standard serial driver that registers as "/dev/ser0"
for this board. Do we have to write one ?? I think
there is only "ixp425_diag.c" in
platforms/hal/arm/xscale/ixp425 directory.

Yes, you'll need to write one. It should be straight forward
since the serial ports are 16550 compatible.
