Subject: [ECOS] "go" command on MPC55xx -question
Date: Thu, 20 Dec 2012 15:11:00 -0000	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <1356016302398-217107.post@n7.nabble.com> (raw)

Hello,

I am new to eCos/Redboot and have some problems with using "go" command with
RedBoot installed on PowerPC MPC5566. I have found similar problems reported
by others but with no luck in fixing it. Redboot was built based on eCos 3.0
downloaded from mercurial repository. I am using gcc tools 4.3.2. Redboot
bulids and runs on target -I can enter commands from Terminal. However when
I load a simple code to RAM (i.e. using "lo -r -m xmodem 0x40004000"
command) I can not execute it with "go". When in config tool "Work with a
ROM monitor" and "Behave as a ROM monitor" are checked and "go 0x40004000"
command is used, RedBoot seems to reset. When "Work with a ROM monitor" is
not checked, RedBoot hangs. I have tried many different configurations with
no result. Any help appreciated.

Jakub
