Hi,

I can't found any binaries or sources of the GDB Multi-ICE server...

The docs just point at a /src/gdb/multi-ice directory but I suspect this
concern the GNUPro toolkit shipped on some RedHat CD. As I only use the
eCos net distribution and the Gnu tools downloaded I would like to know if
the GDB Multi Ice server is freely avalaible ?

Thank you.

I do not know all the details, but there were licensing problems with
only certain parties allowed to redistribute critical bits of
multi-ice related code. I believe things have been pretty much sorted
out now, subject to approval by corporate legal departments, so the
multi-ice stuff should appear in the mainline sources in due course.

Right now, what you see in the code from sources.redhat.com is what
you get.

Fabrice> And that should be when?

As I said, there are corporate legal departments involved so the
timing is not under my control, nor of any of the gdb developers. My
understanding is that we are probably talking in terms of a few weeks
rather than months.

Fabrice> I guess for the moment the Multi-ICE server is only

    Fabrice> Right?

No. AFAIK Red Hat does not have the rights to redistribute the
relevant multi-ice code either, so GNUPro cannot support this yet. The
work was done for and shipped to a specific customer, and will become
generally available once the licensing issues have been resolved.

And that should be when?

I guess for the moment the Multi-ICE server is only avalaible in the GNUPro
CD kits purchased from RedHat? Right?

Thanks

A+
