TCP connections via a gateway will mostly work since reply packets are sent back to the Ethernet address whence they came. If incoming packets come from a different gateway than outgout packets are supposed to go to, this breaks. But, I've never actually _seen_ a situation like that. :) It appears that UDP traffic (TFTP downloads) are strictly direct connections. Has anybody implimented netmask/gateway for RedBoot. I probably will one of these days, but it's down the list. What I do need is for RedBoot and eCos apps to share IP configuration info -- is anybody else doing this type of thing? -- Grant Edwards grante@visi.com
