Hi,

I've tried the prebuilt redboot binary for i386-pc. Worked fine.

Are the configuration files used to produce this prebuilt binaries
available somewhere? It should be quite diferent from the default
redboot template since, i needed to add a few packages to have the
serial drivers activated...

According to the RedBoot documentation at
  http://sources.redhat.com/ecos/docs-latest/redboot/x86pc.html
you should be able to rebuild exactly what's distributed via these
comands:

  % ecosconfig new pc redboot
  % ecosconfig import ${ECOS_REPOSITORY}/hal/i386/pc/current/misc/redboot_FLOPPY.ecm
  % ecosconfig tree
  % make

Forgot to mention, i was using the (old) Windows config tool. I'm not
aware of this feature in the old config tool (i guess it is already in
the new version).

But anyway, i guess those files can help me find what packages were
included.

Thanks

What feature? If you mean importing, then yes the old tool has it as well.
Under File->Import...

Yes, that's exactly what I meant!

In fact I wasn't even aware of the existence of *.ecm files ....

Thanks.
