Actually the file lies in c:\cygwin\opt\ecos\ecos2.0\packages\hal\sh\v2_0\include. cyg/hal/basetype.h is the installation directory structure. packages\hal\sh\v2_0\include/basetype.h is the repository directory structure. When you make eCos, it copies the header files from the repository into the install tree and then compiles using the headers in the install tree.
