Hello,
I have configured the parameters, see below, but my console is now"/dev/pts/4" but i don't see the hello world message. is the ecos configuration is only for tty console not for pts? I don't know is something is wrong, a connection or configuration.I would like to solve this before installling Redboot.
/dev/ser0-->Phisical port for the board
/dev/pts/0-->my console
/dev/ttyS0/-->COM port

Thanks a lot

This works fine if you are using gdb, but also standalone (e.g. with minicom or HyperTerminal connected to Redboot). Messing around with the serial configuration is not a good idea if you don't know exactly what you are doing.

if you have Redboot installed, just use the ecos default configuration where everything is handled by ttydiag. This works fine if you are using gdb, but also standalone (e.g. with minicom or HyperTerminal connected to Redboot). Messing around with the serial configuration is not a good idea if you don't know exactly what you are doing.

Dirk

Hello, is this configuration correct to send the printf on the screen?
Board:EB40A
Port:Serial A
Default console device:/dev/ser0 ( in ISO C input/output function)
TTY-mode serial device driver-Console Device Name:/dev/pts/0
TTY model Chanel #0:dev/ser0

Something missing or wrong? Should i use minicom to see the output on the screen?

Thanks a lot
