Dear ecos users,
I'm sorry. I tried to find an answer for my questions on the docu and faqs
but i din't found it anywhere.
we want to use ecos on a target with amd flash (all supportet hardware).
- wich is the best flashfilesystem in ecos?
- is it possible to run ecos and this AMD-Flash with jffs2?
- can we create new files on runtime (z.b. ftpserver)?
- is it possible to delete a file on runtime?
- how long does it takes?
Thanks for replying.
Best regards,
Patrick Baumgartner

The most popular is JFFS2. I don't know of alternatives.
>- is it possible to run ecos and this AMD-Flash with jffs2?
Yes.
>- can we create new files on runtime (z.b. ftpserver)?
Yes.
>- is it possible to delete a file on runtime?
Yes.

I assume you are asking how long it would take to implement this under
eCos.
Short answer: almost certainly less time than other approaches. eCos is
well suited for the task you appear to have in mind.
A more useful answer would of course require going into much more
detail.
