Antony has emailled me off list and progress is being made. It should be noted that this is somewhat a special case. I cannot accept a jumbo patch because of the contribution without an assignment. If all the code had assignments i would be much more willing to accept a jumbo patch. So once the patch from Antony is in place, you could send me a jumbo patch to bring athttpd completely up to date, if and only if, there have not been any more contributions from people without assignments.
