Hi,Jif,
    I think I have given enough 
time to load the file hello,about 10 minutes.
    Yes,I changed my makefile as 
this:
 
    uncomment 
XCC=i386-elf-gcc
    
PKG_INSTALL_DIR=/usr/lqx/ecos-work/install
 
and I  never have successfully downloaded 
and run any of the eCos test cases.Then
I have another problem,when I do 'make tests' in 
my build tree, why is there no file  executable exit?

How did you configure the build-tree /usr/lqx/ecos-work? By any chance is
it the same build tree you used to build the stub floppy image? If so, you
need to make a *new* build tree to use with applications, or tests. Do this
simply with:

ecosconfig new pc
ecosconfig check
ecosconfig tree
make tests
