Hi all,

    Does anyone could download application/test
into I386 target??? I have build the default without MATH package, because it
generated fail message while build, and it work while I make a floppy and boot
the target. But each time I download application(hello.c)/tests the target will
hang, sometime it will send ok  message all the time, sometime will
reboot or hang. I think I did something wrong but I do not know where
is.

My host is Win2000, does the eCos must run
over NT??? Or anyont could tell me how to setup????

I have been able to download the hello.c example program for the i386
target. You need to give more information about which host tool you're
using and how you go about building eCos configuration file and eCos
image. You need to make sure that you use the i386-elf gcc cross
compiler. You also need a separate work tree for your floppy build and
your ram build.

I have been able to use the default pc configuration, with resolving
some GDB stubs dependencies. I have never had a problem with the math
library. I am using ecosconfig on Red Hat linux.

Hi alex:

Thanks for your remind, now I could download the file to target and run
it. The problem is I make all file with floppy. So now I change my configure
as the stub template made from floppy and the defalt template made from RAM.
And now I could run and test. Thank you very much.

But I still got problem with math package while I build default
template. And when I enable the serial port I also got make error for flow1.

I just update all files from eCos's CVS, my system is window2000, I
build all tools chain from net. And the shell I used is as follow:
==========================
@/ $uname -a
CYGWIN_NT-5.0 HOME-ADON 1.1.2(0.21/3/2) 2000-06-06 22:20 i686 unknown
@/ $
==========================

So, could you hint me again????

Adon Chen

We need more information to go on. I assume that this is the PC target
then? What exact build errors are you seeing - please cut and paste the
relevant portion of the build output.

Hi Adon,

I haven't tried eCos beyond v1.3.1. I'm not sure if something changed
with the default configuration to cause your problem with the math
library. I'm not sure why the resolve conflicts doesn't work.
