Is /tools/H-i686-pc-linux-gnu/i686-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld built from a recent
binutils such as version 2.10? Use
"/tools/H-i686-pc-linux-gnu/i686-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld --version" to find out
for sure.
