Hold on, stubrom.c? It sounds like you're trying to run a GDB stub rom image under RedBoot? All I was talking about was setting a breakpoint at some point _after_ system initialization time. You should have just got a clean build tree and rebuilt from scratch in the default configuration. Just try that in the first instance and make sure that works.
