Hello all,
I am a beginner at embedded systems.
I want to ask what is the hardware architecture of an embedded
system?I mean, does it has any harddisk, monitor, keyboard or it runs
only as a single board application?

This type of question is probably better asked in a more general forum than
ecos-discuss, which is a list for just eCos developers. Try the
comp.arch.embedded Usenet newsgroup in future.
Many different definitions exist for what is an embedded system, but I
think most people agree that _in_general_ it means, no monitor, no
keyboard, and largely unsupervised operation. Many embedded systems have
hard disks. There are always exceptions though :-).

Any or all is possible! A so-called embedded system can be more powerful
than your desktop PC, and may be a complete PC compatible, for example.
I think you would be better off buying a good book about embedded systems.
This list is specific to eCos.
