( RedBoot in the board)

Do you mean run any tests at all, or specifically the Run Tests
functionality within the eCos configuration tool?

That won't work without some magic in your registry. I've update the
eCos1312.reg file at ftp://sources.redhat.com/pub/ecos/anoncvs/eCos1312.reg

Download that, double click it and try again.
