hi

i am working on a eCos port for the
MPC8260ADS board, and i am having
RedBoot working on the board
(ROM and RAM startup).

The port is based on the eCos PPC60x part.
Now i found this in the file
ppc60x/current/include/var_intr.h

// No builtin interrupt controller in the PPC60x CPUs.

followed by an "empty file".

I dont think, that the MPC8260 does not
have an builtin interrupt controller.

Another problem is:
The MPC8260 have "extra" exception vectors
0x1000 .. 0x1500 (MMU)
the PPC60x code does not define them.
(change code in PPC60x tree? )

Is it better to base the port on
the PPC8xx tree of eCos?
Am i getting more difficulties to do so?

Thanks for hints
regars, christoph

If it's an 8xx chip, then mpc8xx would seem more appropriate. It certainly
has all the intc stuff.

Hi,

is anybody working on an eCos/RedBoot port for
a MPC8260ADS board?

Would it be straight forward?
(i have gained some experience in porting
RedBoot to a MPC860T based board)

best regards, christoph
