Hi,
I know this topic has been around for a while, but hoping someone can
help with some queries. I am currently in this process of integrating
PPP code taken from FreeBSD into eCos. How do you add an entry for
NETDEVTAB, I can see the Ethernet device being attached in
cyg_net_init_devs (in support.c), how do I configure this to attach PPP.
Are there certain operation that has to be carried out to initialise PPP.
Is anyone else working on this,if so any helpful pointers would be
greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Stuart

Use io/eth/current/include/netdev.h and the NETDEVTAB_ENTRY macro.

You've probably seen eCosCentric's commercial announcements about this by now.

Finally the PPP code was commited to lwIP on savannah
people interested can give it a shot, then flood me in bugreports.
check out both lwip and the contrib modules as the latter is where the
ecos port lives
Jani
PS: The code was mostly ported to lwIP by Marc Boucher from some BSD
derived stack.
