So a number of places the document I have on my MAC references
"polling" in particular they reference enabling or disabling "auto
polling". Now I'm not sure if I should have this on or off? The docs
seem to indicate that autopolling is on by default but when I look at
the setup when booting up it seems to be disabled so something,
perhaps the BIOS turned it off?

So what is autopolling with respect to ethernet mac hardware?
