Should i use minicom to see the output on the > screen? if you have Redboot installed, just use the ecos default configuration where everything is handled by ttydiag. This works fine if you are using gdb, but also standalone (e.g. with minicom or HyperTerminal connected to Redboot). Messing around with the serial configuration is not a good idea if you don't know exactly what you are doing.
