* [ECOS] eCos networking support -- a Newbie's question @ 2008-08-21 10:29 Zhifeng Cai 2008-08-22 15:11 ` Robert Brusa ` (2 more replies) 0 siblings, 3 replies; 6+ messages in thread From: Zhifeng Cai @ 2008-08-21 10:29 UTC (permalink / raw) To: ecos-discuss Hi I am new to eCos. Could someone advise where I can find info regarding eCos networking support? I wonder whether it has configuration options or use open source packages (like Linux does) to support vlan, bridging, routing, firewall, dhcp, dns, ppp, etc. Thanks, Zhifeng -- Before posting, please read the FAQ: http://ecos.sourceware.org/fom/ecos and search the list archive: http://ecos.sourceware.org/ml/ecos-discuss ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 6+ messages in thread

However, I found it rather cumbersome to bring it into a readable form. One has to install docbook and a lot of libraries. So in order to speed things up a bit for you, I have copied "my" pdf-manual to www.brusag.xyz. I find the one-section-per-web-page approach of the online version to be very difficult to use. The main problem is that there's no way to search through the document (either visually or electronically) to find what you want. At one point I spent the better part of a day trying to get docbook set up so that I could generate a pdf version, but I wasn't successful. -- Grant Edwards grante Yow! ... or were you at driving the PONTIAC that visi.com HONKED at me in MIAMI last Tuesday? -- Before posting, please read the FAQ: http://ecos.sourceware.org/fom/ecos and search the list archive: http://ecos.sourceware.org/ml/ecos-discuss ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 6+ messages in thread
