Hi there,

Thanks Jesper. using native gdb my current work will be over. No problems.
But I am feeling like using ecos. For just sake of satisfaction can anybody
pl. explain what is happening if i386-elf-gdb gives error(don't know how to
run) and native gdb works in case Linux Synthetic target.

When using the native GDB you do use eCos. Has nothing to do with the
runtime.

The reason i386-elf-gdb does not work is because your system is not a
i386-elf system (it's probably i686-pc-linux-gnu or some such) and
thus GDB thinks it needs to connect to a remote target before it can
run anything.

Yes, use your native GDB only.

Hello there,

With ur help I could successfuly run applications on i386. thanks

Now I am trying to run the applications on Linux synthetic target. If I use 

'i386-elf-gdb -nw thread_gdb.exe' 

it gives proper msg and gdb prompt. But when I say 

'run' 

it says start: <file .....file name> and then don't know how to run try help
etc.

If I run threa_gdb.exe with gdb only then it runs it properly.
Any pointers on this?
