Message-ID: <45D1473E.7000105@redhat.com> (raw)

Very brief notes I made:

kernel:
No change with hanging wait bug.
Mark reported that he appeared to have a problem where the inferior
spontaneously died when stepping through a signal.
-> cagney/mark: investigate

timeline widget testing:
Sami asked about good strategies for testing the timeline widget - the
graphical nature of the widget meant that there was likely going to be
far too much accessibility information for to be handled efficiently by
dogtail.
Options such as: unit testing timeline in isolation; using screenshot
and bit-compare (gtk doco has logic to rip out screenshots of widgets);
recommended.

dejagnu:
Cagney indicated that dejagnu was dead.

elfutils:
Nurdin reported that the new elfutils - 0.126 - has the bug he found fixed.

hpd:
Tim raised several questions about the HPD interface, and the
AttachedObserver. Cagney noted that the command "attach" should not be
implemented using the AttachedObserver (which is for internal testing)
and instead by adding terminating observers, similarly detach should
just remove all observers.
Discussion about stepping. Mike's RunState observer is the way to go.
It is set up to juggle multiple requests for stepping, and the need to
notify any interested parties when the thread stopped.
