Subject: moving frysk.cli.hpd's .debug_info table (symtab) to frysk.debuginfo
Date: Tue, 22 May 2007 16:13:00 -0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <4653155D.2070605@redhat.com> (raw)
Hello,
This idea came up as a result of discussion between my self and stan,
and my attempt at implementing fvalue.
Briefly, the code-logic for scanning .debug_info sections currently
lives in the CLI (frysk.cli.hpd), which, for non-command-line apps such
as fvalue (display a value in a program then quit) feels wrong. Instead
the intent is to move that logic to a shared package - frysk.debuginfo -
where the CLI, utilities, and the UI can all access it.
thoughts (or a better name - one note on the name, it is _not_ symtab as
that is too overloaded with the elf symtab),
Andrew
