If you update your gas sources (Cygnus folks: in devo; net folks: from
the next snapshot), you will need to reconfigure any
already-configured tree based on earlier versions of the sources. You
only need to configure the gas directory, using the configure script
in the gas source directory; reconfiguring the whole tree will take
care of it too.
The Cygnus configure writes a config.status which will cause Cygnus
configure to be re-run when it appears to be needed. But Cygnus
configure will be very unhappy with the new autoconf-style
configure.in, and will complain about a missing "per-host:" line. It
won't even attempt to run the new autoconf-generated configure script,
because it wasn't there when the tree was first configured.
