Hi!

I get following error when I try to duild glibc-2.1.1pre1 with the
ldconfig from hjl (egcs-1.1.2
works file).

gcc -B/usr/src/glibc-2.1.1/ ldconfig.c -c -O2 -Wall -Winline

make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/glibc-2.1.1/elf'

The version of egcs used is:
Reading specs from /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/egcs-2.93.19/specs

gcc version egcs-2.93.19 19990418 (gcc2 ss-980929 experimental)

And the option for configure were:
./configure --prefix=/usr --localstatedir=/var --sysconfdir=/etc
--with-gmp=/usr/src/misc/gmp-2.0.2-fixed --with-binutils
--enable-add-ons=linuxthreads,crypt,door,nss-v1

The CFLAGS and CXXFLAGS were both:
-O2 -march=pentiumpro -pipe

I hope that helps to track it down...

Marc

FYI -- this bug was fixed a few weeks ago.
