gcc from CVS today failed to bootstrap

gcc from CVS at 8:30pm PDT on July 30, 2000 failed to bootstrap on
Linux/ia32, I got

A new bootstrap failure that has been introduced over the weekend.

Seen on i386-unknown-freebsd4.0.

PS: Also the "implicit declaration of...strcmp/memset/memcpy" warnings
probably should be fixed?
