I believe specs are being slowly rewritten by Neil Booth. Nonetheless, it would be helpful if you
could confirm whether this bug is still present in gcc 3.3. Thanks,

I just checked the gcc-3.3 online docs.

The difference between 3.2 and 3.3 seems to be the if-exists directive.
I don't think this solves my problem.

I really doubt that we want this option as we have always recommend in setting LD_LIBRARY_PATH.
