I can confirm this on the mainline (20030828).
>From Phil's regression hunter: Search converges between 2002-12-15-trunk (#165) and 2002-
12-16-trunk (#166).  That was the day of the split of the mainline and 3.3 so it should be easier to 
track down what did it (or not because of BIB).
