Subject: [Bug libobjc/13946] New: ObjC configured --with-objc-gc needs external Boehm gc
Date: Sat, 31 Jan 2004 12:26:00 -0000	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20040131122622.13946.debian-gcc@lists.debian.org> (raw)

The Objective C runtime library enabled with garbage collection needs
an external Boehm gc collector beeing installed at compile time. It
shoud be possible to build the libobjcgc library with the Boehm gc that is
included in the boehm-gc directory.

See the thread starting at 2003-01-16
http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc/2001-01/msg01019.html (most followups not in the thread)

The boehm-gc parameters/configury bits needed by the gc enabled objc runtime are
undocumented as well.
