The testcase which fails is in libffi. cls_3_1byte.c fails now. Before the patch the alignment looked like this: 0xbffffb08: 0x0c0d0ebe 0xb2b3b4c0 (12, 13, 14 and 178, 179, 180) The 3 char's where aligned to the left. Now with the patch it looks like this: 0xbffffb08: 0x000c0d0e 0x00b2b3b4 They are right aligned now. Though I don't know what is the right way (tm). I will verify the current behavior of the Apple's system compiler based on gcc-3.3.
