Hi,
I use gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.0)
I have tried to compile the following code with gcc :
struct a
{
struct a
{
int b;
};
};
int main()
{
struct a var;
var.b=10;
return 0;
}
and the output is
ouput:
------------------------------
[sravan@atcmail cprogs]$ gcc -Wall t.c
t.c:7: nested redefinition of `a'
gcc: Internal error: Segmentation fault (program cc1)
Please submit a full bug report.
See <URL:http://www.gnu.org/software/gcc/bugs.html> for instructions.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
One wierd thing is that if i comment the line "var.b=10;" in the program and
compile it with gcc the output is
ouput:
------
[sravan@atcmail cprogs]$ gcc -Wall t.c
t.c:7: nested redefinition of `a'
t.c: In function `main':
t.c:10: warning: unused variable `var'
