"Octave is now using exceptions for error handling rather than setjmp-longjmp. See libcruft/misc/quit.h for details. " (from Paul Kienzle)? You can take a look at quit.h by going to http://pareto.uab.es/mcreel/OctaveClassReference/html/index.html and looking it up in the file list. If the build is going to fail, I do not think anybody should waste their time trying since it is quite a long process.
