App segv's because called inline function has no "return" statement; compile reports no error. While I suppose this is legal, it is distinctly unfriendly.

Source code (-save-temps)
inline declaration of operator<< called in line "cout << p << endl" has no
return statement, so the "<< endl" has a null pointer for the stream and
segv's. Template expansion of this operator<< should complain, but doesn't.

You should be using -Wall or -Wreturn-type which does warn in 3.3.1.
