Subject: [Bug c++/18445] New: ice during overload resolution in template instantiation
Date: Fri, 12 Nov 2004 08:43:00 -0000	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20041112084234.18445.jens.maurer@gmx.net> (raw)

This (invalid) code gives a nice error message with gcc 3.3.3, but fails with an
ICE on 3.4.3. Using the correct ex.what() syntax fixes the problem.

#include <iostream>
#include <exception>

template<class T>
void f()
{
  try {
  } catch(std::exception& ex) {
    std::cout << ex.what << std::endl;
  }
}

int main()
{
  f<int>();
}

t.cc: In function `void f()':
t.cc:10: internal compiler error: in resolve_overloaded_unification, at cp/pt.c:9331
Please submit a full bug report,
with preprocessed source if appropriate.
