I tried to reproduce this using a native IA64 GCC on Linux and HP-UX and 3.2.3
and 3.3 looked fine to me.  I am not sure how to reconcile this with Dara's
results but I think the bug is fixed in 3.2.3 and subsequent releases and that
this defect should be closed out.

I can reproduce this with gcc-3.1 and gcc-3.2.3.  I can not reproduce this with
the gcc-3.3 branch in CVS.  I suspect this was fixed by a large 2002-05-18 patch
from Richard Henderson that completely rewrote how ENCODE_SECTION_INFO works.
