Anyways here is a testcase which should not produce a constant after the loop:
int bar (unsigned int);

unsigned int
foo (void)
{
  unsigned int i, j;

  for (i = 1; i < 30; i++)
    {
      j = 2 + 3*i;
      if (bar (j))
        break;
    }
  return j;
}
