The software developer had updated the status of this issue and states that this causes a Machine Check exception to occur on our current hardware. The observation made earlier that padding the structure with a byte clearing up the issue is still a factual statement. We will have to discuss this with our hardware engineers as to why this occurs, however the issue is the same, since this hardware cannot be modified.
