gcc-4.1.0-20060219.tar.bz2 won't untar with Solaris native tar.

tar: directory checksum error

works fine with gnu tar.  This is a regression from 3.4.x where Solaris's
native tar works fine.  I didn't test 4.0.x.

Please read:
http://gcc.gnu.org/install/prerequisites.html

GNU tar version 1.12 (or later)
Necessary (only on some platforms) to untar the source code. Many systems' tar
programs will also work, only try GNU tar if you have problems. 



This is not a bug as this is documented as a prerequistite.
