The following invalid code snippet causes an ICE on mainline:

============================================
struct A;

struct B
{
    friend A : 2;
};
============================================

bug.cc:5: error: name 'A' has incomplete type
bug.cc:5: internal compiler error: tree check: expected tree that contains
'decl common' structure, have 'error_mark' in grokbitfield, at cp/decl2.c:970
Please submit a full bug report, [etc.]
