Could it be, "static char* printed" should be initialized = 0?

Looks like reload is storing to cl_options_count :).  There was a 4.2  
bug
about this, somehow it got exposed for 4.1.x now.

PR 25636 was the 4.2.0 bug and the patch there should fix it if someone
backports it.
