------- Comment #4 from pinskia at gcc dot gnu dot org 2006-06-04 20:02 -------
This was a P2 before P3 was default. Also I mentioned this was much improved
on the mainline which might mean this was fixed but I don't have a place to
test it

It doesn't compile with 4.1 either due to errors. Can you re-do preprocessed
source for 4.1 and possibly mainline?

No working test case, no feedback for two months -> no reason to keep this
open.

Apologies -- GCC bugzilla mail was going missing due to being sent with a bogus
sender address. Will dig out a current test case if it's still an issue.

------- Comment #9 from robert dot nagy at gmail dot com 2006-10-18 22:06 -------
Hi.

I'd like to backport the fix of this problem to OpenBSD because we still use
gcc 3.3 here and we are not able to compile OpenOffice w/o fixing this.
If someone can point me to the change you guys made I'd really appriciate it.

Thank you!

There have been too many changes to figure out what fixed this really and 3.3
is no longer being maintained by us. What most likely happened here is
something changed the rtl which worked around the problem of the instruction
scheduler blowing up.
