Subject: [Bug c/37954] odd sized packed structures, under ARM, cause lockup of application

Subject: RE: odd sized packed structures, under ARM, cause lockup of
application

Yes, I'm figuring out how to move it from VMWare to my Windows system.

It is unexpected to me. X86 doesn't do it under 3 different compilers
(one of which is GCC). I understand why under ARM it does it at the
assembly level.

I'm completely new to Linux, and this bug reporting mechanism. Although
I'm an old Unix hand from 1983... it's all coming back to me now. <grin>
So please bear with me!

Thx,

-D

Do you have an example code that shows this? I almost want to say this
is
expected behavior.
