The alias-improvements branch does indeed seem to fix the issue. The version of leslie3d built with the alias-improvements branch is about 10% faster than a version built with trunk, and is equivalent to a trunk version built with --param max-aliased-vops=10000. -- http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=32921
