This is the right place, and your bug report looks complete. Unfortunately, I can't reproduce it on a RedHat 5.2 system with glibc 2.1.1. Since you report that the compiler works when invoked on the preprocessor output, I would suggest that the bug is not in the compiler. Instead, one possible cause of such an error would be a hardware problem. Of course, it could be a number of other things as well, such as a bug in glibc, or some really strange bug in gcc.
